iPhone Personal Hotspot not working

I observed that after my notebook bootup or startup from standby mode, I encountered that the personal hotspot via USB will not work. The iPhone battery also will not charge as well.

I need to restart my notebook in order to get it working.

Not sure is it a particular Windows service or need to disable/enable network connection to get it to work. Need to test.

Need to test out for other USB devices such as thumbdrive etc?

iPhone 5 Pre-Order

Sept. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Apple Inc. said pre-orders of its iPhone 5 topped 2 million units in one day, more than double the sales record set by the previous model iPhone 4S.

Because demand for the iPhone 5 exceeds the initial supply, some pre-orders will be delivered to customers in October, rather than September as previously planned, Cupertino, California-based Apple said today in a statement. Most orders will be delivered on Sept. 21, Apple said.

The latest estimate comes from Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster, who in a note to investors today says that at best Apple will move 8 million to 10 million iPhones, and at worst, 6 million.

I still remembered Apple nearly went bust at one stage. Now, they are one of the most, if not, the most successful company in the world. What a twist in events...

Well done, iPhone 5. Well done, Apple.

iPhone 5 Launched!!!

iPhone 5 launched!!!

At a glance:

  1. Thinner(18%), lighter (20%), less volume (12%)
  2. 4-inch Retina Display (0.9 cm longer, same width, 18% more pixels)
  3. Ultrafast Wireless (LTE & dual band wireless)
  4. A6 Chip (twice as fast, same battery life)
  5. New Earpods (enhanced speaker audio)
  6. iSight Camera (Panorama, better features, enhanced HD video recording, FaceTime HD)
  7. Lightning Connector (smaller, reversible, adapter separate)
  8. Apple Maps (GPS with voice)
  9. Siri improved more intelligent & more languages
  10. iOS 6

Not to bore you with the details (are you kidding me?),
Apple did a better Job (pun not intended)
HERE >>

I have not seen the rumoured:
  1. Fingerprint technology (future)
  2. NFC
  3. Passbook
  4. Waterproof (it's so easy to do this, even a lot of Japanese cellphones have this)
announced yet

Let's put it this way, if you are a die-hard Apple fan, get it.

Personally, I felt the Apple Maps with GPS turn-by-turn voice is superb.
Also Siri (perhaps inspired by iRobot), although not new , has a LOT of potential e.g. they can integrate Siri with Apple Maps.
While the LTE is great, the lousy plan in Singapore of 2 GB cap negates it. What's the point, faster but less.

GPS companies really have to step up now.
Perhaps future GPSes have to plug into your car & drive for you, lol.
